The end of the year is upon us and I just finished the last fic I was intending to post to Ao3 this year so I might as well go and post some yearly stats while I'm at it.


Works posted this year: 24 works in 10 fandoms.So around 2 works a month, which feels pretty nice!

Word count: 92120 words... so big. My biggest wordcount in a year before that was 73k.

Canon I wrote for the first time this year: Return of the Obra Dinn. A pretty cool game!

Canon I wrote the most: Dungeon Meshi, with 10 fics. The release of the anime motivated me to write more fics ideas I had and I was also inspired by some prompts made by other fans.

Other canons I wrote for this year are: Ace Attorney, Akiba Maid War, Arcane, Attack on Titan, Chihayafuru, Revolutionary Girl Utena, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power and Soul Eater. That's more or less the usual suspects!

Canons I wrote both that year and the one before: Arcane, Blue Period, She-Ra, Attack on Titan, Utena, Soul Eater, Dungeon Meshi, Yuri Kuma Arashi, Ace Attorney.

It's a new year!

Which means I can go back to my writing challenges posted at the beginning of 2022 and see that sadly, I haven't completed most of it. I did manage to finish the two lines of ladiesbingo I hoped to make but that's it. Nothing posted in French and the longer fic I planned to work on still sits at a pitiful 1168 words. Oops.

It's not like I didn't write much, though. My Ao3 word count for the year is 72,936, so 10k more than what I posted in 2021. And I did manage to write a 13k words fic, which is longer than the usual for me, but not exactly what I had planned on doing.

So for this year, I'll just give myself a simple goal: reach 100 f/f fics posted on Ao3! I'm at 84, meaning I have 16 to finish before the end of 2023. I made 15 two years ago and 20 in 2022 so this should be doable.

I've been adding a few older fics to my Ao3 account and thanks to that I've just now reached 100 works posted there! I thought it would be interesting to put down some notes about the content of those fics.

Since I managed to complete the little challenge I gave myself last year and also posted a whole lot more words than usual on Ao3, I thought I should try doing another similar post this year.

I already have the on-going challenge of ladiesbingo, and hopefully I should manage to write the two fics needed to make my first line before the end of the posting period. If possible, it'd be nice if I could make another one during the amnesty period but I don't know if I'll manage.

Once again, I'd like to at least write one fic in French this year. No ideas on what.

But the big thing would be to manage to write one of those long-ish fics ideas I've had for so long. At least get started and write enough that I feel like I can post something before the end of the year. Having to pick which idea I should go with will be a challenge already, though...
